Number One Reason To Feed Your Body Well

rsz_your_body_is_your_homePeople often ask me whether I practice what I preach.  Do I really eat all those health-protective foods I talk about?  Do I minimize my intake of dietary villains?  Am I active every day?  For the most part, my answer is a big, giant “YES”!  Is this difficult for me to do?  No.  That’s because I truly understand the following statement:  My body is my home.  It is the most important home I will ever live in.  In fact, I believe if my body could talk, it would express tremendous gratitude for all the times I’ve taken care of it well.  It would say “thanks so much!” for all the times I’ve made good food choices and avoided bad ones.  It would say “I really appreciate it!” each and every time I’ve made the decision to get off my butt, get my muscles moving and my heart pumping.  It would say “you’re amazing!” on the nights I made it a priority to get a good sleep.  Why is my body so grateful?  I believe when you give your body what it needs, then it can give you what you need.  That’s what your body wants to do!!!   It wants you to look great, feel great and have all the energy and aliveness required to lead an exceptionally, wonderful life.  It wants your arteries to be flexible, blood sugar to be stable, bones to be strong, skin to be beautiful, mind to be sharp and cells to be healthy.  It wants to protect you from heart disease, diabetes, cancer, dementia and so much more.  Your body is your home!  What kind of home do you want to live in?  My wish for you is to live in a home that is happy, healthy and truly beautiful in every way!

Lessons Learned:

Your body is your home.  It is the most important home you will ever live in.  Take great care of this truly amazing home so that it can take good care of you!
